The former prime minister, Raila Odinga, and the deputy president, William Ruto, appear to be the front runners in the 2022 presidential race. The two heavyweight politicians have come up with different strategies of pulling the masses to their advantage.
Tharaka Nithi senator, Kithure Kindiki, is among the politicians who support William Ruto. He has made his political stand very categorical, something that costed him the seat of the deputy speaker of the Senate.
Through a post that he shared through his social media handles, Kithure said that Raila Odinga will lose the seat to Ruto with a margin of more than 2 million votes. He also recognized William Ruto as the 2022 people's candidate for the presidency and Raila as the government candidate.
"The candidate of Kenyans will beat the Government candidate by a 2 million vote margin. A whitewash like no other," said the senator.
