What Aden Duale Has Told President Uhuru Over A Key Appointment In The Cabinet

For sometime now, president Uhuru Kenyatta has been receiving backlash messages for failing to appoint a secretary to his cabinet. The position has remained void for a long time and this has caused reactions among many people.

Garissa township member of parliament Aden Duale has come out to attack President Uhuru for failing to appoint a secretary to the cabinet. Duale first bashed Joseph Kinywa for alleging that he is the acting secretary to the cabinet. Duale told him there is no law that says he can be the acting secretary and Uhuru must appoint one by himself. He asked the president to fasten the process of appointing a secretary since he is the one that will take over as the chairman after Uhuru retires.

"President Uhuru Kenyatta since 2014 you did not appoint a secretary to the cabinet. You appointed Monica Juma, I was the leader of majority, the house rejected her. Now you have two months to leave office and you are going home for retirement. The chairman of that committee is missing. Jana mumeniandikia barua by the head of public service Mr Joseph Kinywa purporting that he is acting as the secretary to the cabinet. I want to tell Mr Joseph Kinywa that you have no constitutional mandate to act as the secretary to the cabinet. So tunaambia rais Kenyatta you must appoint a secretary to the cabinet who will become the chairman of the assumption of office," Duale said.
