Amason Kingi is a Kenyan politician from the Coastal region of Kenya. He is the current sitting Governor of Kilifi County. Governor Amason Kingi was elected in office during the hotly contested 2017 general elections in Kenya through the Orange Democratic Movement party of Kenya ticket.
Governor Amason Kingi has finally broken his silence after being quiet go for a long period of time. The vocal politician has publicly joined Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho in mourning the passing on of former Mayor of Mombasa Ahmed Shahame Mwidani which occurred this afternoon. He said that Hon Mwidani will be remembered for his great stewardship of Mombasa in the period between 1983- 1997.
