In the ongoing Azimio la Umoja rally precided over by Raila Odinga in the historic Kamkunji grounds in Nairobi, former Justice minister Martha Karua projected her activism spirit and guard for critical national resources which she argued, have for long been squandered under the watch of a top presidential contender (Ruto).
Martha Karua rooted for Raila Odinga's presidency arguing that he is the only candidate who has been tried and approved, and his record in guarding national resources is unquestionable as compared to his Kenya Kwanza competitors.
"Ile team iko na kiongozi mzalendo ambaye anaweza kuchunga mali ya umma ni team Azimio ikiongozwa na Raila Odinga." Karua boldly stated.
The self-proclaimed iron lady cautioned thousands of supporters gracing the rally that the country is under imminent danger should they allow wicked leaders to take over the mantle from president Uhuru Kenyatta.
During Karua's short stint on stage, chants advocating for her consideration for the lucrative running mate slot also prevailed.
Meanwhile, Mr. Odinga has contained the pressure mounted on him to declare his principal assistant. Raila has said the same will be done tomorrow at 11 am at KICC.
COTU boss Francis Atwoli had initially beseeched Odinga to rise to the occasion and quell the growing anxiety over the same matter now that their competitors have already put their house in order.
