Ruto in Karen Today
Ruto today held a series of meeting in his Karen home. He held two separate meetings with leaders from Tharaka Nithi and church leaders from a different denomination. Yesterday he also held two meetings with over 50 leaders from Kisii. Raila on the other hand has officially launched his 2022 bid today in Nakuru which was attended by several party leaders.
From the meetings that have been held recently, Ruto seems to be having an upper hand because of the number of leaders he has so far met. Although this is not a guarantee that they will cumulate to votes, it is, however, a major concern for Raila.
Raila in Nakuru
Raila who is now active in the race will be seeking to traverse the country to strengthen his 2022 bid. Several leaders were present in today's meeting with a majority of them exuding confidence, especially now that he has the backing of the head of state.
