Activities in Kisumu CBD were halted for a few minutes after demonstrators took to the streets to demonstrate against the high cost of living in the country and beyond. This coming just a few days to the polls and after Raila odinga visited the area to seek for votes.
According to an Update from TV 47, the demonstrations were led by activists from the area who have been so vocal in ensuring that they put the government and the Nyongo led administration on check as they carry out their mandates as a government.
Kenyans have been treated to an increase in essential commodities which has forced some Kenyans to adjust their ways of living and embrace new changes since they cannot manage to have three meals a day. Governor Nyongo has been accused of not doing enough to ensure that food prices in the county are lowered in line with his manifesto.
