The star newspaper paper reports of a plan by Mount Kenya Foundation to name their preferred candidate in a recent future. The Mount Kenya Foundation is a group of business men reverred for its bottomless war chest to finance presidential elections.
It is alleged that these businesses men could hold a jamboree next month known as Limuru 3 to announce their preferred presidential candidate.
The group has since met with Odinga and his former NASA principals and their declaration is set to shape the political climate in the country. Through their secretary Titus Ibui, the foundation talks of ongoing consultations to have a right man to steer their agenda towards 2022 general elections.
The Limuru meeting will bring together the MKF, key political leaders and select delegates from the region, including the diaspora county Nakuru. Kieni MP Kanini Kega, a key Uhuru ally, on Monday confirmed plans are underway for the summit but said it must be convened by the President as the de facto leader of the Mt Kenya region
