Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has been making deliberate tours in Mt. Kenya region, in attempt to out stage the political ground gained by Deputy President Dr. William Ruto.
This as he kicks off his two days tour in Nyeri County. Today he is meeting council of elders at kafiruini ground, later meeting with the youth from the country.
Holding Azimio la Umoja tour across the county, he will be accompanied by a number of senior government officials. Some cabinet secretaries as well as Governors and some elected leaders from the region.
"After that he will be going to do the youth meeting at a venue near Dedan Kimathi University of Technology. And I want to tell all area residents it's an open forum during the Kikuyu council of elders meeting. So you are all welcome."
"People from all walks of life are invited and there is nothing required for you to join us, in celebrating the peace that we are advocating for in this country."
"The party leader will be meeting various stake holders, the youth will have what they want to tell him, they will provide their memoranda. He will meet professionals in the evening, they will provide their memoranda. And even as he continues to tour this country the people of the great County of Nyeri will continue telling him what they want him to do for them, once he assume presidency of this country."
