Cabinet Secretaries are set to forgo their one month salaries in support of drought relief efforts. The resolution was arrived at during the third meeting by the country’s apex organ Tuesday that was chaired by President William Samoei Ruto.

"President Ruto's cabinet is worth 15.4 billion shillings. After serious meeting and consideration, they have sacrificed 22 million(0.00147) of their total worth to fight drought. Now they are encouraging you to also give 10% of your total earnings towards the contributions". Hon. Mwalimu Dida said.
