"Kuja Polepole Bwana" Kabogo Tells Ruto After Saying He's Mt Kenya Kingpin, Warns Him of Being Proud

Tujibebe Wakenya party leader William Kabogo has criticized Deputy President William Ruto for claiming that he is Mount Kenya Region's kingpin, and that anyone who wants to 'climb' the mountain must seek his permission.

In one of his political rallies in Mount Kenya Region few weeks ago, Ruto said that he has a good following from the region, and that the other presidential aspirants are 'newcomers' who are using google maps to access the region.

Kabogo said that the region is open to anyone, and nobody should seek permission from Ruto, adding that the residents know what they are looking for in a leader.

The former Kiambu Governor further warned Ruto against being proud of the support he is enjoying from the region, arguing that things might overturn few months to the elections and he finds he is alone.

"Deputy President, Kuja polepole (come slowly) on that issue that you are our kingpin. If you assume you have the residents of Mount Kenya in your pocket, you will have yourself to blame."

"We want you to come and sell your policy and how you will improved our region, and Kenya at large. The constitution allows Kenyans to choose who they want, we do not want you to come and tell us this is the leader you want us to elect," said Kabogo.
