President William Ruto and his wife, First Lady Rachel Ruto, have been praised by UDA Governor, who has described them as an inspiring couple.
Muranga Governor Irungu Kang'ata has expressed his admiration for the two lovebirds as he praised the recent decisions that President Ruto made.
According to the UDA Governor from Mt Kenya, Ruto's decision to sell Kenya Airways (KQ) is one of the most important decisions his government has made since they took over from his processor, President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The Governor also praised Ruto for privatising public companies and abolishing boarding in junior secondary schools.
According to him, it is Kenyans who are going to benefit more from these bold decisions because more jobs are going to be created, and the economy is going to flourish
"Very inspiring couple. Very important decisions made by HE this year -1. Sell KQ. 2. Privatise more public companies. 3. Promote day schooling. 4. Deregulate the financial sector.
"These are seeds for a prosperous Kenya. They create employment in the long run & state efficiency," he said.
Unlike Kang'ata, some leaders expressed different opinions over the government's move to abolish boarding schools and sell KQ.
Former Governor Mike Sonko was among leaders who opined that boarding schools helped learners to concentrate on their studies regardless of the chaos at their respective homes
