The Kiagu ward in Meru county is a united democratic alliance zone as today the United Democratic alliance party candidate presented the documents to IEBC so as to be cleared to run for the member of county assembly. The ward was left without the member of county assembly after the former member of county assembly passed on.
The member of parliament from Nyeri Town Constituency has predicted as early defeat because they had agreed with the party officials that they will not field any candidate in any By election until they clean the jubilee party but the secretary general Rafael Tuju placed a candidate to run against UDA. The lawmaker says that if the leadership of the party will not change, we don't expect another results from the kiambaa By election as we are going to lose to UDA. The campaigns of UDA is been led by the senator of Meru county Minthika. The United Democratic alliance party is confident of winning tree seat.
