After the presidential results were released, team Azimio lost the race to Kenya Kwanza whose flag bearer William Ruto was declared the winner. Sabina Chege, an Azimio die hard politician has shared a piece of text authored by Odhiambo Kaumah.
The text was consoling the losers who trusted that Raila would win the race. However, the text clearly indicates that Raila started the battle in politics while young, eloquent and vibrant. However, he lost the battle as in the text shared by Sabina.
"He is coming back to us after many years away, we realised him to you, young, vibrant and eloquent...you've brought him back...defeated with eyes eternally dripping tears," read a part of the text.
"Well, he is ours and we'll build him a house by the shore!" a part of the text read.
Sabina Chege remarked that the text was so real and asked for the contacts of the author.
In the comment section, Kenyans claimed that Raila didn't lose. They claim that he is a hero who fought for multiparty democracy and also contributed greatly to the current constitution. The text seemed to have touched many Kenyans as in the comment section. Here is a sample of Kenyans' reactions.
