Siaya county governer cum senior Counsel James Orengo has just thrown his weight on the issue of appointing The six judges of Kenya's Court of Appeal by President William Ruto.
According to the Siaya senator now emeritus, there was no justification at all to frustrate the judges of the Court of Appeal's appointments. He says the appointees are some of the best brains Kenya has.
Putting on his official Facebook account, senior Counsel James Orengo has acknowledged Dr. Ruto's act of appointing the six judges of the Court of Appeal.
"Kudos to Muchelule, Korir, Ngugi, Makori and Omange. And Maraga was there to witness it all. An independent judiciary is Paramount. And of course Odunga. He and Ngugi are not just good judges, but also great scholars," Orengo wrote.
This is a big boost to President Ruto's decision especially when it receives backing from one of the senior most lawyers in the country.
When you see senior men in the country putting their political differences aside, make liberal assertions over each other's activities, know that the country is safe. In this case, Orengo's endorsement of President Ruto's work is worthy appreciation.
