‘Ruto Will Suffer The Most' Ngatia Tells Supreme Court After Raila's Lawyer Produced This Evidence

The final day of hearing the election petition is heading to the final hours as at now. Learned Senior Counsels have been launching evidences to the Supreme Court as they seek to defend their clients ahead of the final verdict that's reportedly set to be made on Monday.

Speaking during the hearing, Rt Hon Raila Odinga's Lawyer, Julie Soweto produced a serious evidence showing a ballot paper that's signed on 7th of August, 2022, which is basically two days before the election. On the ballot paper presented to Court, both Raila's and William Ruto's agents signed the ballot.

In defense of President-elect William Ruto, Senior Counsel Fred Ngatia admitted that the signed dates amounts to serious errors and may lead to massive impact to his (Ruto's) victory. He defended the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) agent, arguing that it would have been an honest mistake.

“My client (William Ruto) is the one who is likely to suffer most in case these sensational matters are not dealt with effectively. Starting with the date, that is more drama than reality. Agents made an innocent mistake," Ngatia submitted.
