Muranga United Democratic Alliance chairman Hon. James Mbogo and some local leaders have started to rebel against Dr. William Ruto. They accused the head of state of supporting an unpopular candidate leaving behind who worked hard during the campaign period.
According to details emerging from Nation media on Tuesday, the leaders promised to demoralize the efforts being made by Alice Wahome who was said to have supported Njuguna's change in the upcoming by-election.
James Mbogo further acknowledged that UDA support in Mt. Kenya region is growing colder after the elected leaders failed to deliver the campaign pledges.
"The UDA wave is waning as reality sets in that the promises that Dr. Ruto had made in the first 100 days are yet to be realized," Mbogo admitted even as a unanimous lawmaker added that they want to drop irreducible minimums ahead of the 2027 general election.
It is an undeniable truth that Mt. Kenya was Ruto's stronghold and he received overwhelming support from them.
