There Are People In UDA I Can't Vote For, Margaret Wanjiru

It is now one week towards General Election as politicians are winding up their campaigns by convincing people to vote their Political Parties. However, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Nairobi Senatorial candidate Margaret Wanjiru has come clear that there are people in her party whom she will not vote for.

She says she will not be influenced to go against integrity and Christian values in favor of her political affiliation. “Even in my party (UDA), there are people I cannot vote for. They all know my stand, if someone has a questionable character or has zero service delivery track record, I Margaret Wanjiru cannot be part of their team,” she said at the interview in Spice Fm.

Wanjiru who is competing in the same seat with Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Senatorial Candidate Edwin Sifuna, she vowed to play a key oversight role as a senator and hold the governor accountable in the county’s operations.

She claimed that the previous administrations in Nairobi County failed as a result of exaggerated budgets and theft of public funds at the expense of service delivery to the people of Nairobi. “If elected, I will be in a position to summon the governor to explain their budgets. I strongly believe the budgets can be cut down and the revenue generation increased tremendously. It is doable if only we remain focused," she added.

The Senatorial candidate did not mention the names of people she claimed she will not vote for bt she clearly told the media that there are some people in her party she will not vote for. On April 9th this year, she stepped down for Nairobi gubernatorial race in favor of Senator Johnson Sakaja who is a member of UDA.
