Over time, there have been some allegations that a certain group calling themselves the "Deepstate" were planning to extend president Uhuru Kenyatta's term in the goverment by postponding the 2022 general elections. These claims were made by the Tangatanga allies who pointed at president Uhuru Kenyatta as the master of these plans saying that he was trying to use the BBI bill to do this.
Now, today, the ODM allies together with DP Ruto's allies from Tangatanga are reported to have joined hands so as to fight this alleged plan by the Deepstate. As reported by the standard digital, These allies have weighed on these plans and insisted that there should be no any postponement of the 2022 general election saying that it is against the law to postpond the 2022 presidential election.
"Allies of ODM leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto have weighed in on the debate on the election date, insisting that there should be no postponement of the exercise scheduled for August 2022." Said the standard digital.
Meanwhile, what is your view on these claims that the 2022 general elections might be postponed? Do you support it? Drop your view.
