Raila Odinga giving Soweto a congratulatory hug the day she presented her Carmago submission
Popular Azimio lawyer who made headlines during the presidential election petition hearing and later during the final ruling is once again in court, and this time around, she is against Azimio.
Lawyer Julie Soweto made headlines for the way she tried to convince the court that Venezuelan Jose Carmago fixed the August 9 presidential poll in favour of President-elect William Ruto by staging Forms 34A in the IEBC portal.
The court later ruled that her submission was nothing but hot air and a wild-goose chase before she was warned that judges could lose trust in her in future.
Soweto is today in court in Homa Bay County, representing former Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero, who is challenging the win by Azimio governor, Gladys Wanga.
Kidero wants the court to overturn Wanga's win because he believes the exercise was not fairly and genuinely done, to achieve that, he has hired the services of a team of lawyers led by Soweto.
