Martha Karua was recently introduced as Orange Democratic Party Leader Raila Odinga who will run in the upcoming national elections. Karua is now heading for Mt. Kenya to campaign for Raila Odinga and the Azimio coalition.
On Friday, May 20, 2022, Martha Karua led the Azimio Brigade in the Nyeri region where they camped in the Mathira area at the home ground of Rigathi Gachagua who was re-introduced as William Ruto's representative through the United Democratic Party.
Pauline now reacted after Karua was warmly received at the scene, saying Rigathi Gachagua's bedroom had been attacked
This also sparked a Kenyan reaction, with some praising Orange Democratic Party leader Raila Odinga for appointing Martha Karua as her running mate. They point out that Odinga's election looks set to baffle William Ruto in 2022 politics.
Some, however, looked down on his acceptance and said it was inferior to the people of Mathira
