Kenyans Confusing Utamaduni Day With Huduma Day

On Friday the minister of internal security announced that on Monday all kenyans should not go to work since it was a national holiday. According to the gazette he released, he said in line to section 2(1)and 4 part one of the schedule of public holidays Act cap (10)and pursuant to the declaration he thereby declared Monday today a national holiday.

He added and said all citizens are reminded to honour the day by recognizing and celebrating the rich cultural diversity of Kenya in a manner that promotes our unity, national cohesion and economic progress. As a result of this Kenyans are all over social media wishing their fellow Kenyans a nics holiday but making a mistake of calling it huduma day rather than utamaduni day.

Among those who posted wrongly include hon: Sabina Wanjiru Chege, 1st Lady Reachel Ruto, CS water Alice wahome and many others. Ezekiel Mutua posted on his facebook page reminding Kenyans it's utamaduni day not huduma day urging them to stop creating their own holiday.
