Turkey Authorities Release Ugandan Blogger Who Had 'Killed' Museveni In Online Platforms

Turkey authorities have reportedly released Fredrick Lumbuye, a Ugandan blogger who had 'killed' President Yoweri Museveni on online platforms.

According to the sources, Fredrick was arrested in Turkey for having an expired visa and overstaying in the country illegally.

Reportedly he was arrested at his home in Instabul with heavily armed policemen and taken to Kocaeli Foreigner Detention center in early August this year.

Fredrick who is a support of the National Unity Party led by Bobi Wine is wanted by Ugandan police for 15 crime allegations.

He is accused of inciting violence among Ugandans, spreading harmful propaganda and cybercrimes.

It's believed that Fredrick and other European-based bloggers spread information that Museveni was ailing from Covid-19 and was taken to India in a critical condition.

Another rumors were that his son General Muhoozi Kainerugaba had succumbed to Covid-19 at Nairobi hospital.
