Cyrus Jirongo Remarks After Gubernatorial Elections Were Postponed In Kakamega County

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati has announced that the gubernatorial elections of Kakamega county and Mombasa county will not happen tomorrow because of errors in ballot papers printing. This has caught many by a surprise because it rarely happens.

For that reason, the aspirants in the affected regions came out to speak about it. The latest is Cyrus Jirongo, who is the gubernatorial aspirant of Kakamega county. On his official Facebook page, he said;

"We know what the problem is, its not a mix up but a clear intention to allow them time to go back to the drawing board. I promise them one thing: The luhya nation will never be the same again. It will never be their toilet mart again."

The IEBC chairman has said that dates for voting of those seats will be announced later. Meanwhile, Kenyans have few hours before they go to the ballot to vote for their leaders.
