Well, Raila Odinga is one of the most respected politicians in the country. For several years, Raila has been fighting for local Kenyans who feel oppressed by the government. He has been aspiring for presidency several years but has never been successful. However, 2022 could be his last chance and he is expecting a tough competition from the current Deputy President William Ruto who is also so influential.
Well, Raila Odinga has sent a positive message to Kenyan youth this morning. The politician addressed some policy intervention for Kenyan youth. According to the former Prime Minister, Kenya has a big challenge when it comes to creating opportunities particularly jobs for the young generation.
Raila Odinga wrote:
"Today, I address some policy interventions for Kenyan Youth. Creating opportunities, particularly jobs, for young people is the biggest challenge this country has to deal with going into the future. All our policies must respect this reality."
However, it seems Raila Odinga has come up with an idea to solve the problems being faced by the youth in Kenya. Raila plans to create a tax holiday for youth enterprises. He plans to do this by minimizing taxation of new and and small businesses owned by the youth. Raila Odinga believes that the youth can bring limitless opportunities to the country if they are well trained and given the necessary knowledge. He intends to create a Youth Commission that aims at ensuring equal representations of both genders.
