JUST IN: Nairobi Governor Elect Sakaja Reveals His First Assignment as Soon as He is Sworn-in(Video)

Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has after a long wait declared the results of the Nairobi County gubernatorial race.

IEBC has declared United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Johnson Sakaja the winner of the race after garnering 699,392 votes against Igathe who came second with 573,516 votes.

Governor elect Sakaja has revealed his first assignment as soon as he is sworn into office following his victory as announced by IEBC today.

Sakaja has revealed that he will undertake to ensure that all the fourteen functions of the county government are reverted back to the county government.

"I want to affirm that from the day we are sworn in, all the fourteen functions of the county government shall revert back to the county government," Sakaja said.

Sakaja has also lauded the people of Nairobi County for keeping peace throughout the electoral period and treating each other as brothers.
