Few weeks ago, the news Raila had contracted corona virus made headlines in Kenyan political arena. Wishes of quick recovery filled social media pages whenever Raila's heath status was updated. At this moment, Handshake was on the brink of collapse with the relationship between Raila and President Uhuru deepening much further.
Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi, has revealed that politics had robbed him of his life and voice. He added that he will now follow what his heart desires without looking back, left or right. This is after getting infected with Covid-19 few weeks ago.
Murungi said that he saw Raila Odinga being towed out of bed while recuperating from Covid-19 for political reasons, to tell Kenyans that the Handshake between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta was strong. He further said Raila's action showed that his life came second after politics.
And this was true. After Raila was discharged free of Covid-19, he was seen few days after inspecting government projects with President Uhuru Kenyatta at Green Park Matatu Terminus in Nairobi.
