A prison warden was today evening arrested in Kariua Polling Station, Kandara constituency in Murang'a county. This is after he turned to be violent against voters.
According to the source, the warder got in mob trouble with some youths at the polling station and when his colleague intervened, he assaulted him. The youths then turned against with kicks and blows before he was rescued by his colleagues.

The officer was then arrested and he is being held at Githumu Police station as investigations continue. The incidence was confirmed by Murang'a county Police Commander Ali Nuno
The Kandara parliamentary seat fell vacant after Ms Alice Wahome was appointed Water and Sanitation Cabinet Secretary by President William Ruto.
The race was between the Ford Asili candidate Mr Njau Mbuchu and Mr Njuguna of United Democratic Alliance UDA.
