William Ruto, the current President of Kenya, takes a major hit as a direct result of the attorneys working against him and rejecting his decision. This causes him to suffer a significant loss. The head of state sent a letter on December 9 to the speakers of the National Assembly and the Senate, requesting that they take the initiative in establishing the post of the official opposition leader and requesting that they do so by establishing the position of the official opposition leader. The letter also requested that they do so by establishing the position of the official opposition leader.
The Law Society of Kenya (LSK), which is led by its President Eric Theuri and expresses its opposition to the constitutional amendment proposals put forth by President Wiliam Ruto, deeming them unconstitutional and calling on Parliament to uphold the rule of law, has taken a stance as a result of this. The LSK calls on Parliament to uphold the rule of law and expresses its opposition to the proposed amendments through its President Eric Theuri. The Legislative Struggle Party (LKP) has voiced its objection to the proposed constitutional amendments and has requested that Parliament preserve the rule of law.
According to the President of the Law Society of Kenya, the change is the same as the Building Bridges Initiative trying to sneak in through the back door. This was stated by the President of the Law Society of Kenya.
The President of the LSK brings up the point that there is a very clear precedent that has been established by the courts suggesting that those proposed amendments should not be entertained by the Parliament because they contradict the precedent that was established.
