Breaking News: Sakaja Floors Igathe to Win Nairobi Gubernatorial Seat

Kenya Kwanza Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Johnson Sakaja is the incoming Nairobi County governor following his win against his opponent Polycarp Igathe.

Sakaja was running under DP Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party ticket while his opponent Igathe was running on a Jubilee ticket. Igathe was fronted days to the deadline given by IEBC and Tim Wanyonyi from ODM had to sacrifice his ambitions for Igathe.

Sakaja prior to his win had gone through a lot of challenges including a court order to bar him from vying for the capital city highest seat. Azimio led coalition stated that Sakaja’s degree was questionable.

However, a clarification from Ugandan university and his consistency in proving he had a degree finally paid fruits. Sakaja blamed the deep state for its plans to have him step down from the race, stating that they had realized Nairobi residents had already made their decision.

The politician will now become the fourth Nairobi governor after Evans Kidero, Mike Sonko and Anne Kananu terms came to an end.
