Kimilili Member of Parliament once again has found himself on the wrong side of the law. The honorable member has been found using public resources for his own campaign.
The vehicle which belongs to Kimilili Constituency National Government Development Fund (NGCDF) was seized by the police from Bungoma branded in MP Didmus Barasa’s campaign material.
The police who were working on a tipoff from the public claimed the said vehicle was a public resource and was being misused by the Member of Parliament for his own campaigns.

The police took up the matter and started trailing the said car. They visited the NGCDF office where they didn't find the car, later decided to visit the MP's home. At home, they were denied access but used their own means to get in where they confiscated the car.
The vehicle, a pickup truck, with an official registration number of GK B948J, had already been given a fake private registration plate. The police towed it and handed it over to their fellow officer in charge of investigations.
