Speculations arose among kenyans on twitter after Isaiah Kindiki, a brother to the Tharaka Nithi senator Kithure Kindiki was appointed to the chief agents team by the Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Hon Raila Odinga. The team led by chief agent Setabau Ole Kachori consisted of Paul Mwangi, Caroline Karugu and Kindiki.
According to netizens, the move by Raila was meant to counter the deputy president Dr William Ruto's selection of Prof Kindiki Kithure as the Kenya Kwanza coalition's chief agents. This would also help Azimio la Umoja to win the hearts of Tharaka Nithi and Meru residents who were already dissatisfied by Ruto's decision to pick Rigathi Gachagua over Kithure for his running mate.

Led by renown Baba's social media campaigner Gabriel Oguda, kenyans lauded the wise move by Raila. According to Oguda, the Kindiki family was also lucky to have been represented in both factions of the key competitors handing them a double chance of being in the next government.
"Prof Isaiah Kindiki is Raila Odinga Chief Agent. His brother Prof Kithure Kindiki is William Ruto's Chief Agent. Betting experts call it double chance." Oguda tweeted.
Another kenyan on twitter replied, "Isaiah is not a chief agent but a deputy.. Raila just put him there to check his brother just like how they tried with Moses Kuria in Juja... It will also fail."
