Apollo Mboya, the lawyer representing independent electoral and boundaries commission (IEBC) vice chairperson Juliana Cherera has expressed interest to reach out to president William Ruto over the ongoing probe by the national assembly against his client.
Revealing the plan to national assembly's justice and legal affairs committee chairperson George Murugara, Apollo Mboya stated that the committee should postpone the hearing to a later date as he makes effort to reach out to president William Ruto.
As tomorrow's People Daily newspaper reports, Mboya's quest to reach out to Ruto stems from Ruto's social media recently where he called out Raila Odinga and asked him to allow parliament to deal with rogue IEBC officials.
"We are asking for an adjournment so that we can obtain a clarification from the president as to what he really meant and also get to obtain documents, including a copy of your ruling," Mboya said.

It is unclear if and how Mboya plans to obtain a response from Ruto.
