Kalonzo Musyoka's presidential candidacy has been withdrawn, and he is not among the 16 candidates who have been cleared.
His bid has been dropped, and he will not run in the general election on August 9th.
Furthermore, Kalonzo's name does not appear among the 16 Presidential candidates who have been approved by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to go on to the nomination process.
Kalonzo Musyoka had originally proclaimed his candidacy for president, and he planned to run under the Wiper Party banner. This new development came after Kalonzo had aldermen submit his signatures as well, as required by election regulations.
