Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party Ranked Second Richest Party in Kenya as Raila's ODM Wealth Revealed

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta who doubles as the Jubilee Party Leader and the Azimio One Kenya Alliance has a reason to smile as his party has been ranked as the second richest party in the country second after the Orange Democratic Movement Party.

In a report via the Nation, it has been established that former President Uhuru's Jubilee Party is the second richest party in the country valued at Kshs 429.44 million, according to its latest audited financial accounts for the financial year to June 2020.

The reports have disclosed that the amount that the Jubilee Party in terms of wealth is an accumulation of all the shares they have been receiving from the 0.3 percent of the national government revenue which was being allocated to the parties which are qualified each year.

According to the report, the Orange Democratic Movement Party led by Azimio Deputy Party Leader Raila Odinga is among the top richest parties with the reports indicating that "the Orange Democratic has a net worth of Sh10 billion."

The Raila Odinga-led party value has increased by 12.4 percent from Sh8.9 billion last year, with 96 percent of its value being monies owed by the Political Parties Fund, according to its statement.

The report comes as the two parties who are joined under the Azimio One Kenya Alliance have vowed to play the opposition role inside the Kenya Kwanza Alliance after failing to cling to the Presidency.

The Jubilee Party through their Secretary General Hon Jeremiah Kioni has informed that they are ready to play the role of the opposition and that even on matters of appointment made in the, they will be very keen to ensure that any leader who was picked has a clean record on matters integrity.
