List Of 6 Bilateral Agreements That Kenya Has Signed With China

Wang Yi, China's foreign minister, and Raychelle Omamo, Kenya's foreign minister, signed six memorandums of understanding and agreements on trade, investments, digital innovation, and green development earlier today. The agreements were signed after bilateral discussions between the two leaders.

Wang Yi stated that one method to restore peace to the Horn of Africa was for his country to assist countries in the region with infrastructure and other initiatives. CS Agriculture Peter Munya, CS Treasury Ukur Yatani, CS ICT and Youth Affairs Joe Muchero, and CS Trade and Industrialization Betty Maina were among the Kenyan CSs who signed the MOUs.

Wangi Yi stated that China would continue to assist countries in the Horn of Africa in constructing infrastructure that would facilitate commerce and investment in the region. He claims that this will create jobs and end tensions and hostility among the region's populations.

Wangi Yi also stated that his government will send an envoy to the region to assist in stimulating growth and bring peace to the region's inhabitants. He stated that China is working hard to reduce poverty in Africa by constructing good infrastructure, which will drive other advancements, resulting in job creation and the end of wars.

Omamo, who was accompanied by Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, stated that China had agreed to contribute an additional 10 million vaccines to aid in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. China also provided a total of 12,000 tons of rice to individuals impacted by the virus.
