Baringo KANU and UDA leaders clash during the burial of former MP Andrew Kiptoon

Today the former member of parliament Hon. Andrew Kiptoon. The politician was laid to rest at his Kaptere rural home in Baringo North constituency. Several leaders from the county attended the burial ceremony. The burial was aired live on Northrift official Facebook page.

The family and friends eulogized the late member of parliament as an astute leader and family member. They praised him for serving his constituents and his family. The religious leaders also heaped praises on the late legislator.

Drama began when politicians were invited to convey their condolences messages. The leaders leaders clashed over the recent state appointment by the president Uhuru Kenyatta. KANU allies were appointed to serve in several state corporations.

UDA allied leaders accused their KANU counterparts for rewarding their allies. The leaders said that KANU leaders initiated the removal of leaders allied to UDA party and replaced them with their favorite supporters.

This confrontation caused uproar in the underway burial. Baringo North legislator William Cheptumo read deputy president William Ruto's condolence message.

KANU leaders were led by Baringo women representative Hon. Gladwell Jesire Cheruiyot. UDA allied leaders present included Baringo North legislator William Cheptumo and former Baringo governor Cheboi.
