It has emerged that president Uhuru Kenyatta has been inspecting different projects in his Mount Kenya backyard privately.
This has been disclosed by the Cabinet Secretary in charge of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Roads, Housing project and Urban Development.
“It is the President who sends us to inspect the projects. He also privately inspects the projects which he is looking forward to launching before his term comes to an end,” Macharia said.
Among the projects is the Kenol-Marua Dual Carriageway that is expected to be launched before the president retires from the presidency this coming year.
There is also the Mau Mau road that will be transversing several counties within the Mount Kenya region and whose completion is expected to be done soon.
Several allies of the Head of State have since come out to note that president Uhuru Kenyatta is doing his very best to ensure that he delivers to his people to the best of his ability.
“We did not have time to keep shouting, at the right time we have decided to tell people the truth. We can even challenge, those who have been claiming that they have done it to assemble the technocrats Cabinet secretaries, Principal sectaries, and their teams) at these sites, if indeed they claim to have done it,” said Nyeri Town MP Wambugu Ngunjiri.
