A Section of Busia Leaders Renews the Call for Creation of Teso County

A section of leaders from Busia County have renewed the call for creation of Teso County. They want their own County away from Luhya community.

"A section of Busia leaders have renewed the call for creation of Teso County and want their own County away from Luhyas", Marigiri noted.

They have joined Kuria East MP Marwa Kitayama who intends to table a Bill to amend the constitution to increase the number of farmers from 47 to 52.

Murwa's Bill seeks to create Kuria County carved from Migori County, Teso Carved from Busia County, East Pokot County hived off from Baringo and West Pokot Counties while Mt Elgon County carved from Bungoma and Trans Nzoia Counties.
