Cases of police brutality have been on the rise in Kenya. This was witnessed especially after the night curfew and movement restrictions were effected earlier in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has wrecked havoc worldwide.

Some police offiers have previously overstepped the boundaries by using excessive force when dealing with ordinary Kenyans who were found outside past the curfew hours.
