Kakamega county Senator Hon Bonny Khalwale has now broken his silence concerning today's meeting between Hon Fernandes Barasa and President William Ruto. According to reports, the Governor met with the Head of State at State House for major consultative talks about the working visit president Ruto is expected to make to Kakamega.

Other high-powered leaders who were present is Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Malava MP Hon Malulu Injendi.
“Accompanied by Senator Bonny Khalwale and Malava Member of Parliament Hon Malulu Injendi, we met President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at State House, Nairobi ahead of the President's working visit to Kakamega County this week," Hon Barasa said.

Reacting to the aforementioned meeting, Senator Khalwale has heaped praises for making the big decision of meeting the president today. He also thanked the First in Command for organizing the meeting which he argues reflects the unity of purpose for development of the country.
