Even as the country's attention is diverted to Kirinyaga county for Mashujaa Day celebrations, it is nearly evident that President Uhuru Kenyatta will be the one to invite former Premier Raila Odinga today to give his speeches today.
This is after the program of the Day's celebrations was made public. In the schedule, Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru will be the first one to speak and welcome all the visitors to her county.
She will then usher in Deputy President William Ruto, who will make his speeches before inviting President Uhuru Kenyatta to address the nation.
However, Raila's name has not appeared among the invited guests to make speeches and just like the Bukhungu Stadium Madaraka Day celebrations, President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to usher in Raila into the podium before making his speeches.
Raila has been camping in the Mt Kenya region for three days consecutive, with his major visits to Mt Kenya East region, where he continued with his charm offensive visits to Meru, Tharaka Nithi and Embu counties.
President Uhuru was on Monday quoted asking Kirinyaga residents if they had seen his guest transversing the region, asking them to welcome him toMt Kenya.
