Attorney general Muturi Speaks Minutes After High Court Dropped Landmark Rulling On CAS Appointment

The Government of Kenya via Attorney General Hon JB Muturi has this evening responded after the High Court of Kenya through its latest ruling has barred all 50 Chief Administrative Secretaries from Assuming office pending the hearing of a petition that had been filed by one of the Activists.

In his argument, the AG believes the petition was ill done bearing in mind that that the activists didn't consider having a talk or rather consulting the government why the head of state decided to add 27 more positions contrary to the Constitution of Kenya.

"As the CASs were sworn-in at State House, in court, where a petitioner wants the appointments declared illegal, the Attorney-General applied to have the name of the President struck out of the lawsuit.

"The AG said the petitioner, Eliud Karanja Matindi, erred in suing the President in his personal capacity," Nation Reported on Friday evening day after CASs were inaugurated.
