Deputy President William Ruto has slapped, ruling Jubilee Party at Nyandarua County, Rurii Ward By Election as United Democratic Alliance Candidate, Honorable Francis Muraya Githaiga has been confirmed the winner after total submission of 26/26 polling station.
Honorable Francis Githaiga won the race by 58% of the total votes casted followed closely by Jubilee party of President Kenyatta candidate, who got Peter Thinji at 42% as other candidate share the rest.
The region that initially witness tussle and battle with Police officers earlier in the morning, saw very low turn out of voters, only 7483 casted their votes.
Result as at now, from the final 26/26 polling station, Francis got 4325/7483 and Peter Thinji getting 3132.
Among those who have sent their congratulatory message is Former Kakamega Senator Bony Khalwale. Khalawle wrote, "Congratulations UDAKenya's Francis Muraya Githaiga for this resounding victory in Rurii Ward Nyandarua.
