Former president Uhuru Kenyatta has been told to resign from his current influential position in Azimio la umoja One Kenya coalition party to give room for president William Ruto to lead government and Azimio la umoja One Kenya coalition party leader Raila Odinga to lead the opposition.
According to communication expert cum political commentator Dr Barrack Muluka, the former head of state should formally step down from Azimio leadership and allow Raila to keep William Ruto's government under constant check.
"As Raila Odinga returns to the streets with the troops, it might be neat for Uhuru Kenyatta to formally resign from the Azimio council, and allow Raila Odinga to steer that ship," Muluka argues.

He added that the former president set a bad tone when he started having a dalliance with the opposition and that president William Ruto's government needs strong opposition which Raila Odinga has started offering in the last few days.
