Senate Speaker Lusaka Mourns Passing of His Cousin after Attending Burial of Businessman in Bungoma

A number of leaders including Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka have today attended the burial of Bungoma businessman Mzee Allan Njuguna Mwereri at his home in Musikoma ward, Kanduyi Subcounty.

Mwireri died last week after a short illness.

Other leaders who were present include Governor Wangamati, Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and as usual politics played out at the funeral.

Lusaka remembered Mwereri as a supportive man especially during his term as governor 2013 to 2017 and therefore “he couldn’t’ afford to Miss Mzee’s burial. While delivering his speech, he threw a jibe at Wangamati claiming that he will be vindicated in fullness of time and that he may run for office next year.

Through his Facebook account Lusaka said “Mzee Mwireri was a prominent Bungoma businessman.”

He later on joined family and friends to mourn the passing of his cousin Edward Makelo Munyakho at Sinoko Mapera village in Kimilili constituency.
