Junet claims Wetangula and Chebukati sealed a deal to rig the polls

Azimio Coalition party Secretary general Junet Mohamed has now dropped another unverified claim, explaining that Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chair Wafula chebukati had a meeting to discuss about rigging the forthcoming august polls in favour of Deputy President William Ruto.

Junet, the Suna East member of Parliament has further claimed that a meeting was held at the DP Ruto's Karen home to discuss the printing tender where the trio; chebukati, Wetangula and Ruto discussed at length.

After the meeting, a Greek company, P Lykos was awarded the ballot printing tender and was asked to go ahead and print the required 200 million ballot papers.

"We know that you held meetings severally in Karen with the IEBC Chairman Wafula chebukati. You can go to court if you want. We know every detail of those meetings," Junet said while addressing a rally in Kiambu county on Wednesday, July 6.

As reported by the star, the Electoral Commission did not respond to the questions regarding the claims and instead stated that it will be giving a press statement tomorrow, Thursday, July 7.

Wetangula has however dismissed the claims by Junet terming them false and malicious.
