Renowned lawyer Paul Mwangi now says Deputy President William Ruto is not fit to succeed his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta during next year's general election.

Mwangi, a constitutional lawyer and legal advisor of ODM leader Raila Odinga, said Ruto did not have the right temperament to become Kenya's 5th Head of State and commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

Reacting to DP's speech in Nakuru on Saturday, the lawyer said Ruto was quick-tempered and predicted he would be a ruthless leader if he gets to power.

In a tweet on Sunday, the former joint secretary of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) steering committee said Ruto needs to serve in the opposition for more than a decade to be ready to occupy the State House.

"This man is so angry ! You can't rule people with this temperament. Utaumiza watu. He needs to do 10-15 years in the opposition where you get angry until unazoea hali ya dunia," Mwangi tweeted.

In the video clip the lawyer shared, Ruto continued on his onslaught against BBI proponents saying they should stop complaining since it is 'God' who made it collapse.

He noted even after the county assemblies, the National Assembly and the Senate passed it was annauled by the High Court and Court of Appeal since it was a 'fraudulent' project.

"Don't try to blame anyone on BBI, it was God who made it stop! Who are you blaming? It was a fraudulent and does not deserve any mention in Kenya," Ruto said.
