By the look of the things the country has already been thrown into a campaigning mood with the experience of big political rallies in different parts of the country. Those who are vying for different political positions are already out in the public to look for votes even before the IEBC announces the exact dates for official campaigns to start.
Politicians are now aligning and realigning themselves in order to face their opponents on ninth August this year.Kenyan registered voters are expected to make very long queues to their respective polling stations to vote for their MCAs,MPs,Women reps, senators, governors and their fifth president. When we zero down to the presidential race politics,Raila and Mr William Ruto are seen to be the top most contenders for presidency in the forthcoming general elections. The two are really giving each other sleepless nights and hard times as the elections day approaches.
There are different statistics done by different organisations concerning the county politics.Like in Kajiado county, there are those who are vying to become the governor of the county.Kajiado county is among the counties that will experience stiff competition considering that the county is located in rift valley region. Many politicians have declared their interests in the race to unseat governor Ole Lenku.Among the aspirants there are:David Nkedienye of Jubilee party under Azimio Movement,Katoo Ole Metito of UDA party under Kenya Kwanza alliance,Joseph Lenku of ODM and Peris Tobiko among others.
The UDA party gubernatorial aspirant Mr Metito has been shown dust as per the opinion poll results carried out by Mizani organisation.Katoo Metito had 31.2% of the total votes in the opinion poll,Joseph Lenku lead with 36.7%.Meaning that if the elections were carried out today then Joseph Ole Lenku could still be the governor of Kajiado county.
Should we conclude that kajiado county is for Azimio being that Mr Lenku is in Azimio Movement?
