The independent electoral and boundaries commission (IEBC) staff had a rough time at the Bomas of Kenya which was the main tallying centre for the August 2022 presidential election results.
According to accounts from IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati, commissioners Boya Molu and Prof Abdi Guliye, the IEBC officials encountered stiff resistance from State security organs in their quest to deliver a free and fair election to kenyans.
And according to reports, the Bomas of Kenya was stormed by law enforcement agencies especially those drawn from the directorate of criminal investigation (DCI).
When the DCI sleuths stormed the Bomas, they reportedly attempted to access Chebukati, telling the Chebukati security team that they wanted to give him a "special message" that they had brought him.
However, Chebukati's security team bolstered by Ruto's security team stopped them on their tracks and blocked them from seeing the chair who had locked himself in hiding in his office.
