In today's meeting of One Kenya Alliance with the Mount Kenya Foundation leaders, the OKA co-principals were clearly told that they can campaign in the Mount Kenya region freely. However, there was no clear decision that was made in endorsing and backing them ahead of the 2022 General Elections. The Mount Kenya Foundation stakeholders also said that Raila Odinga is free to conduct campaigns in the region.
However, it is unfortunate after a new twist emerged, the Mount Kenya Foundation Vice-Chairman, Titus Ibui has issued a tough warning to them team. In his remarks Mr. Ibui stated that the One Kenya Alliance should respect their president, Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta. He said that if they do not respect him and continue calling him names then the Mount Kenya region will not be with them. He said that Uhuru to them is more than a leader. He said that he is their 'Muthamaki'.
